Plan of Salvation:

What Is Salvation?

God want to have a personal and intimate relationship with you!

But we are separated from him. What caused this separation?

Our Sins, our iniquities keep us from entering into that relationship. Look at what the Bible says:

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2) Sin always brings separation, and the fact that God hates sin means that He hates being separated from us.

Our God is a good God, and our God is love (1 John 4:8)

Our God is Holy, Holy, Holy! ( Isaiah 6:3 and one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. )

God hates sin because it goes against His nature which is Holiness. The psalmist describes God’s hatred of sin this way: “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; no evil dwells with You” (Psalm 5:4). God hates sin because He is holy; holiness is the most exalted of all His attributes ( Isaiah 6:3). His holiness totally saturates His being. His holiness represents His moral perfection and His absolute separation from blemish of any kind ( Psalm 92:15 "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, an d there is no wickedness in him " ) ( Romans 9:14 what then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! ).

God’s love for us, in light of his holiness, doesn’t mean he will overlook our iniquities, his holy justice demands that payment be made for sin.

His attribute of Holiness cannot be removed from his attribute of Love for us no more than you can remove wet from water. You cannot simply say that God’s love for us will be the reason he overlooks our sin and allow us into heaven.

Because God is Holy, sin must be dealt with.

So you might be thinking, “Well, I am a good person!”

That’s great but “good” as seen by men is how we compare ourselves to another but that isn’t the measure of comparison God uses, let’s see what God’s Word says…

The comparison that a Holy God will make isn’t between you and another person but rather you and Himself and in that comparison the Book of Romans 5:12 says, For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Matthew 19:17 says, there is none good but one, that is, God.

As a result all of mankind was destined to spend eternity separated from God. Romans 6:23 explains that the penalty for sin is death separation from God in hell forever. No matter how hard we try, we cannot save ourselves or get rid of our sins. We can’t earn our way to heaven by being good, going to church, or being baptized. Look what God’s Word says in Ephesians 2:8-9, for by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of God, (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

How serious does God take this issue? So serious that NOTHING short of himself would satisfy the payment required.

Neither our works nor deeds can make payment in full!

But here is the great news; this is the Gospel of His Grace, His unmerited favor, Our God had a solution for this problem!

John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

So God sent His own beloved Son Jesus Christ to take our place on the Cross, to bear the full weight of God’s wrath and punishment for all our sins on His own body, and to die our death. Only Jesus Christ, the perfect and sinless Son of God (Hebrews 4:15), can fully satisfy the righteous demands of God's holiness in payment for our sins. Understanding how helpless we are because of our sins, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to save us. Jesus Christ lived a perfect, sinless life, and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (Romans. 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.) Three days later, He rose from the dead—showing that He had triumphed over sin and death once and for all. (Matthew 28:5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. (6) "He is not here; for He is risen, just as He said )

Therefore, it is only through our believing in Jesus and God’s solution to restore us by His perfect finished work that we can be saved, step boldly into the presence of our heavenly Father (Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. ), and expect abundant life on earth (John 10:10 I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. ) and a glorious future in heaven. There is no other way to be saved apart from making a decision to accept what Jesus has done for you. Jesus is not just a good way to heaven. He’s the only way to heaven. (Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved .” )

How Do I Get Saved?

Salvation is a Gift from God, and comes through believing in Jesus and Jesus alone.

In the Bible it tells us very clearly that Christ is the only way to God and eternal life. (John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.)

Romans 10:9 promises, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Understand that the One who created you loves you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. He wants you to experience the profound depth of His love and care. There is NO SIN he cannot forgive you of, NONE! You are so valuable to God that he paid for all of them, once and for all !

To accept Christ into your life and be saved, please say this salvation prayer.

Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to be made righteous and have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of Your will by the power of the Holy Spirit i n Jesus’ name, A men.

What Happens After I Get Saved?

Praise God and congratulations, welcome to the family of God!

Once you have accepted Jesus into your life, your entire position in God’s kingdom changes—you are no longer a sinner, but a ne w creation in Christ ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ), and an heir of God ( Romans 8:17 ).

God loves you unconditionally and wants to bless you. He is forever on your side ( Romans 8:31 ), and He has declared that He will never leave you nor forsake you ( Hebrews 13:5 ).

Here is just a small sampling of how Our Heavenly Father now sees you in Christ…

Because of the finished work of Jesus, and not your efforts, you can boldly confess your new identity as

I am a child of God (Romans 8:16); a friend of God (John 15:15) I have access to Father God through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18) I am assured that Nothing can separate me from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39) I may approach Father God with freedom and confidence (Ephesians 3:12) I am justified by faith (Romans 5:1) (God in Christ sees me just-as-if-I-had-never-sinned) Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1) I am seated with Christ in heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6) I am redeemed (bought back) from the hand of the enemy and the curse of the Law (Psalms 107:2; Galatians 3:13) I am forgiven (Colossians 1:13, 14) I am saved by Grace through Faith (Ephesians 2:8) I am sanctified (made holy) (1 Corinthians 6:11) (God is working to conform me into the image of his Son) I am partaker of his divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) I am led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14) I am delivered from the powers of darkness and brought into the Kingdom of his Son (Colossians 1:13) I am kept in safety wherever I go Jesus commands his angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways (Psalms 91:11) I am casting all my cares on Jesus because he cares for me (1 Peter 5:7) I am strong in the Lord and the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10) I am doing all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13) I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:17) I am blessed coming in and going out (Deuteronomy 28:6) I am an inheritor of eternal life and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11, 12) I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ (Ephesians 1:3) By his stripes I am healed (1 Peter 2:24) I am exercising the authority Christ has given me over the enemy (Luke 10:19) I am more than a conqueror in Jesus name (Romans 8:37) I am an over comer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (Revelations 12:11) I am daily overcoming; greater is he that is within me than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4) I am living by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) I am no longer conforming to the pattern of this world, but I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind (Romans 12:1, 2) I am a laborer together with God (1 Corinthians 3:9) I am being conformed into the image of his Son (Romans 8:29) In Christ who dwells in me I am the light of the world (Matthew 5:14) I can be holy for he is holy (1 Peter 1:16) My Father God made Jesus, who had no sin to be sin for me, so that I might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed my transgressions from me (Psalms 103:12)I am complete! In Christ (Colossians. 2:10) I am significant! (Philippians 3:20)

Praise God!!! We are all these things in Christ Jesus!

The more these truths of God’s Word and His Grace, become deeply rooted in you, the greater will be your knowledge of who you really are in Christ and that is the foundation of being born again and your identity as a new creation.

It is very important for you to continue hearing about Jesus and your new identity in Him, and to learn of all the blessings that He purchased at the cross for you to enjoy.

Get a Bible, read and study it. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach and guide you and he will! He is an awesome teacher!
